Being the smart packer I am, I retired my used running gear to my gear check bag post-race so my none running clothes wouldn't get sweaty/stinky because of close approximation. To say they were drenched would be an understatement. However, being the un-smart (or just overly tired traveler by the time I got home) I forgot to REMOVE THE CLOTHES FROM SAID BAG. Those suckers have been left to marinate in there for approximately 56 hours.... and marinate they did. I just started unpacking my suitcase and almost died. And thus ends story time with Jerbear.
(trust me, you don't want anymore of a close up than this. also, I changed in to this shirt, and still sweated through it because I was that hot..... be jealous...)

Ha! I had that same problem when I went to Ohio a couple weeks ago. Races were Saturday, shoved them in a plastic bag only to forget about them until I unpacked Monday night. Stinky.
Next year we meet up for sure!
I may or may not have just thrown up a little in my mouth.
Haha, perfect breakfast read, right here! ;)
After the Toronto marathon I left my clothes in a bag for a WEEK. It was 80 degrees that day. Yeah.
I TOOK THAT PICTURE AND STOOD CLOSER TO YOU. You smelled like roses.
Ha! I can relate. After I ran DWRM I took my shirt off and put it in a plastic bag. 2 weeks later I took it out of the bag and I found mold growing on it. I didn't even think that was possible, but I guess all that moisture...Oh, and the smell was horrific.

I did the same with my shoes when I raced in Miami and went on to Key West for a few days following the race. I air out my clothes in Miami but forgot my shoes in a bag . . . let's just say that they never touch my feet again. In fact, my wife wouldn't even let them inside our apartment.
