Happy Birthday Kyle!

Happy birthday to my best friend and husband, Kyle. You are the best pug dad an Ollie Girl could ask for. You are a pretty stellar fisher person, and you match my weirdness to a T. Thank you for being you, and for loving me the way you do.

FALL MARATHON!

I usually reserve my marathon purchases to land on my birthday, a birthday gift to myself, if you will. But this year, the Twin Cities Marathon opened their registration in mid-December, and I just couldn't wait until December 26th to pull the trigger.

So I registered, on opening day! And so did Toni. Expect to see a lot of #jeronirunsTCM hashtags over much of 2018.

And happy birthday to me!!

Happy Birthday Mama!

It's my mom's first heavenly birthday today! I hope the heavens are full of delicious food, snuggly animals, a sandy beach with perfect sunny temps and your earth-shaking laughter!

Miss you!

Happy 50k Birthday Megan

Last Saturday I got to spend the evening with my dear friend Megan celebrating her day of birth. Clearly we need to teach her hubby some paparazzi skills because we got a sad amount of photos out of the evening!

We started out the evening at dinner, and Otto and I coordinated our nerdy outfits/accessories, natch. He's quite possibly the cutest little baby in the world, and every time I'd smile at him I'd get a huge toothy grin back from him. Looooove.

Then we got to enjoy some desserts and drinks while listening to some live piano music. (And take poorly lit photos.)

And since it was gorgeous out, we were able to hoof it to some other places without freezing to death. And then Kyle was nice enough to join us after work and give me a ride home. Sweet man.

Did I mention Taco Bell drive thru made an appearance as well? Because it did. Yum.

Can you tell I had just woken Ollie up for this photo? Sleepy baby.

Happy birthday Kyle. I hope this year is full of oodles of stinky Ollie kisses and many days in your boat slaying fish. I love you.

Happy Birthday KK!

As I was running this weekend, I was reminded that Kyle's birthday was coming up on the 16th.  I had to stop and think for a minute about how old he was turning.  28.  28!!  When did he get so old??  He still seems like he's 24-25 to me.  And then that reminded me how old I was, and I quickly moved on from that thought.  :)

Happy birthday to Ollie's second favorite person in the whole wide world.

Happy birthday to the best pug dad a person (and pug) could ever ask for (even if you were vehemently against owning a pug for the first year or so we were together).

Happy birthday to the strongest guy I've ever met.

Happy birthday to the best fisherman in the world (next to Big Jer, of course).

Happy birthday to my best friend, insanely goofy counterpart, loudly snoring, sleep walking, sleep talking, leg twitching, bear armed love, Kyle.

Hope you catch ALL of the feeshes and get ALL of the pug kisses in your 28th year.  :)

Love you,
JBL

Happy Birthday Harrison

Today is my adorably wreckless nephew Harrison's 4th birthday.  I haven't got to see the little bugger since last spring and miss him dearly.  I hope you have a great day little man!  Make sure to keep the cheesy full teeth smile for-ev-errrrrrr.

Sunday I hit the trails to finish up my 16 mile long run.  I was kicking myself for not checking the weather forecast for the weekend and opting to do my long run on Sunday.  Until I started running on the trails.  Yikes.  We had an ice storm last weekend, and the temps have been very cold all week long, so there has been zero melting.  Then on Thursday and Friday we had some beautiful snow fall (seriously, it was actually the snow I loooove).  Big thick, white and fluffy.  "IT'S SO FLUFFY!"

However ice covered with 3-4" of fluffy snow equals major running shitshow.  I had my yaktrax on but to say that it was slow going would be a grave understatement.  My stride was super short to keep from falling on my face, and every time I'd attempt to push off I'd slide back a few inches.  I imagine this is what it's like to run in sand.  P.S.  Remind me never to run 10 miles in sand.

I resigned to the fact that it was going to be a SLOW run after the first mile clocked in, and I'm glad I did because I would've been in a state of depression otherwise.  Let's just say that my fastest mile was 10:15 and that was my final mile in which I took my yaktrax off and ran on the road for the remaining 1/4 of a mile to get my heart pumping.  Oh well.  Looks like the weather should be great for this weekend's long run, so poof, the 6+10 mile long run disaster is gone from my brain. :)

And now more cute pics of me and H.

Taken on my Dallas 09 trip.

Clearly we're #1.  Random work trip to Dallas last spring.

My infamous "stick."  Harrison was just working some IT band issues out after watching me do it all weekend..... too bad thats your shin kid.

Mini me.  <3
