So if anyone needs me between now and six months from now, I'll be spending all of the spare minutes with my Netflix and Kyle.

Current Obsession: The Office
Kyle and I started re-watching The Office around Christmas time. I was obsessed with the show when it was on until after Steve Carrell left, and Kyle and I don't have a ton of overlap in tv shows that we watch. So when he mentioned that he'd be up to rewatch The Office from the beginning I was very happy--especially because the earlier seasons are so freakin' good!

Current Obsession: 90 Day Fiance
I have another obsession to share with you all. It is the terribly wonderful tv show, 90 Day Fiance on TLC. I started watching at the start of the most recent season, as a podcast I follow, Bitch Sesh was raving about it. I was hooked. And then my hairstylist informed me that previous seasons were on Hulu. OMG.
So I basically caught up on a season a weekend, since you really don't need to be super focused on the show to still get what is happening. :P I have since paused a bit since The Bachelor came back on, and my training has ramped back up for my upcoming spring halfs. So I'll say see you later, not goodbye to my crazy, wacky friends until a recovery weekend, I guess.
Who else is obsessed with this? Favorite season(s)? I've yet to get into the spin offs, but I'm sure those will happen during long-long run recovery days. Can't wait!

Current Obsessions: Part V
It's been awhile since I've had a post dedicated to my current obsessions, so please enjoy.
- Younger TV Show. Have you seen this show yet? It's DIVINE. I had heard about it, and then didn't have anywhere to watch it. Recently Spotify had a great deal to subscribe to Hulu for $.99 extra a month, and I was sold. And then I found Younger on there. I'm midway through season 3 and there's no stopping me. Also, I may be in love with Josh.
- New Balance shoes. I have been a Mizuno Wave Rider enthusiastic for years. I'm not fully committed to the current model, 21. Because of this, and because 605 Running Co. keeps having great deals on running shoes, I've branched out a little. I've been eyeing New Balance shoes mostly because I follow a bunch of NB sponsored runners on IG (Emma Coburn, Cory McGee, Jenny Simpson, Brenda Martinez) and every time they get a new shipment of gear or shoes, they show things off on insta. And it's all so cute. I love the colors and I want them all. I'm currently adding the 880s into my running shoe rotation and am happy to report that I knocked out my recent 18 miler in them. And look how cute!
- CSA box. A few years ago, I was a member of a CSA farm. I did it for two seasons and it was an awesome way for me to introduce new foods and recipes into my diet. I took two years off from the boxes of deliciousness. With marathon training going on this summer, I knew I needed to add in more vegetables to my meals, and signed up again. It ends up being about $20 a box which is just a steal and includes so much amazing fresh produce. And they're amazing and deliver it to my work. So convenient and I love supporting a local farm. I'll share some of my creations soon, hopefully!

Obsession: Riverdale
To say that I'm obsessed with Riverdale, is an understatement. I had heard a few people talk about the TV show, so one weekend when I was home alone and didn't have anything to do, I started to watch it. It immediately reminded me of Gossip Girl with a mystery twist. I LOVE IT.
And then as watched further I became obsessed with Jughead. Before declaring my love, I had to check his IMDB page to make sure he was over the age of 18. Uff da. And then I discovered he was the kid in Big Daddy (along with his twin brother) and of course any true millennial that I recount this tale to is like, "yeah! It's the suite life of Zac and Cody brothers" and I'm like, huh?
But anyway, I went through season one at an alarming rate. And if I'm having a bad day, I go through Cole Sprouse fan pages on instagram, and I instantly feel better. So if you're looking for a new series to start, get on it. You won't regret it.

Current Obsessions: Part III

________________________
I feel like I do these posts every once in awhile, and honestly I could do them weekly. I have such an obsessive mentality that I'm always obsessing over one thing or another, so here's my current list.Lululemon Vinyasa scarf. I've been coveting this for two years. Finally put it on my Christmas/birthday list. Super bummed the green/navy striped one is sold out and $90 freakin' on ebay. Rude, Lulu, super rude.
Modern Family. I was super late to the bandwagon on this one. The pilot came out when I was trying to cut tv out of my life so I totally missed out, but thank God my friends have the DVDs and are willing to lend them to me. I've waited patiently for season four, and Emily finally finished it and passed it off to me! And then my DVD remote took a dump and I was STILL stuck without it. Grr.... now we're back in business. Bring on the lolz. Kyle watched a few episodes with me and has determined I'm Cam. He's my favorite (tied with Lily) so I'm slightly flattered, but then realize I probably shouldn't be....
Parks and Rec. Ok, Kyle and I tried to get in to this when we first started dating almost three years ago (sidenote: three years?!? When did that happen??) and we couldn't get past the third episode. Bored. My friend TJ has told me for years to just push through the first season because it gets way better, and he was clearly right. During the great remote break/DVD no longer working rendering Netflix unusable, I went so far as watching episodes on my iPhone to get my fix. That's dedication. Can I be besties with April?? Because sweet Jesus, she's amazing.
My pug. This isn't anything new, she's just cuddling and napping next to me and my heart is so full it could practically burst.
Hot yoga. I've been dabbling in hot yoga again. I had some almost fainting spells last winter when I went so I've been scared to go back, but I've gone a couple of times recently and am back in l-o-v-e with it. It's also fun to take the sweatiest yogi award during each class. That's totes a thing, judged by moi, usually no contest. (Go me).
Children's picture books. My new favorite thing on the weekends is to bring a stack of new/amazing picture books home from the library and spend my morning cuddled on the couch in pjs with the pug drinking coffee and reading them.
Bloody Mary's. I got on a bloody mary kick last month and I feel like it hasn't stopped. Ok, it has paused briefly because of the nice Wisconsin beer stash I brought home from Madison with me. Mmmmm.... Kyle makes a mean Bloody Mary.

Obsessions
Nail polish. The other day I yelled at KK to come in here NOW! (because I'm demanding like that...) "I think I've become a girl who wears nail polish." Yet imagine nail polish was said like it was a despicable terrible swear word or something.
But seriously I've been on a major nail polish kick lately and it's so bizarre because I am not a girly girl, and that just strikes me as something uber girly. Current fave colors include: a super duper soft pink which I've dubbed Barbie pink, some crazy sparkly gold that I've aptly named 14 Karat (the names of the polishes suck, so it's obvious that I had to rename them, right?), and a super deep dark almost black/deep red which is Wicked Witch Apple Red.
Our Target just got a grocery section, and they sent out a mailer for a free dozen eggs on Sunday. Color me excited! Go figure, I would walk away with two new nail polish colors with my free dozen. Highlighter pink and muted moss green (again my made up names.... I need this job..) P.S. The yellow I got as a pedi before RnR Vegas marathon because it matched my race shirt. Um...yeah.

Painted gold for the superbowl. Obvs. Go Pack Go.
Showing off my Wisco beer while supporting my Wisco boys during the NFC Championship game.
Trying to channel some semblance of spring with the pretty pastel pink.
(P.S. Thoughts on the new Starbucks logo? I kind of like it... gotta dig the excessive green! :D)

Aaron Rodgers. Being an avid Packers fan, it's really hard not to love Aaron Rodgers, but seriously.... he's kind of awesome. After the season was over, he resumed tweeting (uh..thank GOD!) and the interviews I caught made me love the guy even more. He's kind of hilarious.... and uh... attractive (don't ask me how I didn't notice this previously.... since he's clearly my "type."). A few weeks before the Superbowl I ordered my 2nd Packers jersey, and although it wasn't here in time for the Superbowl (but to be honest I would've wore my lucky outfit: Jennings jersey, yellow sparkly hair ribbon, regardless) it's kind of awesome.
Starburst Jelly Beans. About a month ago I had to accompany KK and his roommate to Menards for some crap or another. I was kind of a grumpy gus about it, especially when no one laughed at my joke about being with "my kind" while in the light fixture section (only funny if you know my last name. ok, possibly still not funny even if you know my last name.... whatever). Upon checking out, I realized that there were STARBUST JELLY BEANS!!!!!!! I first experienced these little treats of deliciousness after Easter last year when a co-worker brought in some leftover candy. Of course, at this point it was too late to find them anywhere, and I have been counting down to purchase them. Currently I'm on bag 6 of 6... so far. Don't act like you're not impressed.
Greg Jennings YouTube Video. This was a bit of a viral sensation this fall. If you haven't seen it yet, please view now:
After the Superbowl, I obviously watched every interview and appearance for any Packers players. My buddy Matt tweeted about an appearance by Greg Jennings where he is asked about the youtube video. I laughed so hard at Jennings' impression of the guy in the video, I thought I was going to die. I made Kyle experience the whole thing right along side me, and he enjoyed it just as much.
The other day I was having a crabby day and KK sent me a text: greg gennings. puttin your team on yo back dog. ahhh s#!t dawrrrrrin shaperrrrrr. one of the best safties in the leeeague dog. greg jennings.
Needless to say I cheered up real quick. Hi.lar.i.ous.
My nook.
So I know I bought my little nook to keep me company on my treadmill winter miles, but I must say... I really love the little bugger. It's so nice to throw it in my purse instead of a heavy book (or two). Plus the Kate Spade case is oh so chic. I've read quite a few books on there, and while books are still my favorite thing evaaaaaaaaah, the nook might be #2. :)

Normally I have a rest day after a long run. However, normally I do my LRs on a Saturday. I know that if I start off my week with a rest day, I'm going to wish I had it back come Thursday when I *need* my couch and a bag of Starburst jellybeans in lieu of a run. I had 6 easy miles to do. Since it was snowing sideways (seriously Midwest....you're the best) I went to the gym. Luckily I'm in the midst of another Sookie Stackhouse book on my nook, and could hunker down for the run. I run pretty super de duper slow and slowly but surely felt all the junk leaving my legs. Somehow I managed to knock out more pages on the 58 minute run then I did on my 60 minute lunch break.... riddle me that one..... TheRunningSpeedReader (I'm really in to creating faux twitter handles for myself...please ignore for now....)
