November in Review

Monday I woke up crazy early, feeling well rested, so I hopped out of bed and set out to do some yoga.  Mental note:  do not check facebook & twitter early in the morning because your time will be sucked away.  Before I knew it, it was time to get ready for work.  Grrr...  one small perk of sitting on my couch with my laptop was that I started to see the sunrise peak through the window.  It was gorg.  I stepped outside to snap a couple of photos in my pjs, because I'm just classy like that.  :p

So in a way it was a good thing I wasn't being all namaste'd because I would've missed this beautifulness.  :)

After work I set out for my final run of November:  an easy 5 miler.  It was in the high 40s, low 50s with almost no wind, so I took advantage of wearing my awesome capris and a long sleeve shirt.  The entire run I had Red Jumpsuit Apparatus--You're My Angel running through my head.  I may or may not have had the song on repeat for the last couple of hours of work.  Sue me!  The run was pretty uneventful.... 5 miles in 46:47 for a pace of 9:22.

1.  9:15
2.  9:28
3.  9:22
4.  9:19
5.  9:20

I always get excited on the last day of the month to look at my running totals.  Unfortunately, because I took 1/3 of the month off, my numbers were a bit low.  The big bummer is, prior to being injured, this should've been my highest mileage month eva.  :(  Oh well.  There's always another month!

Total Miles: 80.1, which is down from 115.1 from last month.

Miles Biked:  87.72

Time spent: 12:21:07.

Total Runs: 12 for an average of 6.75/run.

Highest weekly mileage: 11/23/2009-11/28/2009:  30.1 Mi/4:43:43

Favorite run: My first run back after taking 10 days off.  It was just an easy run, but I was just sooo happy that I had no foot pain during it.  :)

Most hardcore run: 8 x 800 m. @ 7:18 pace.   I missed speed work the most when I was hurt, so this run was hard but oh so rewarding.

Favorite Race:  Technically it wasn't a race, but I didn't race in November.  So we'll go with my mock half marathon.  I hadn't planned on even trying for a PR in Dallas, but after this, I'm definitely going for it.

ok...so, great minds think alike... before I read "beautifulness", I thought "beautifulness"! So jealous of your speedwork. I want to be strong enough again for speedwork...

Hi there! I came across your blog and it's great. I am a runner, too. Can I ask what your job is (when you are not running)? I always love to hear about people's jobs when they love them. :)

I love the pretty sunrise pics. And you are so right about the computer sucking away all your morning time...I hate when that happens!
